  • Configuration Options

    All configuration settings can be set in 2 ways:

    Directly In-Game — Via Generic Mod Config Menu;
    In Config File — You can use any text editor for this (i.e. VS Code).

    MULTIPLIERS:

    Passive Hunger — Affects the passive loss of hunger value every second;
    Passive Thirst — Affects the passive loss of thirst value every second;
    Hunger on Action — Affects the penalty to hunger value when using tools (e.g., Axe or Pickaxe);
    Thirst on Action — Affects the penalty to thirst value when using tools (e.g., Axe or Pickaxe). Typically, you lose twice as much thirst as hunger when using tools.

  • I changed Sebastian's shading.

    I changed the shading on Sebastian's default portraits because it was too smooth. It needed to be sloppier. It's satisfactory now. The previous version should still be available, but I intend to stick with the sloppier style....

    Woowee, it's been a while!

    I opened up this mod page after getting back into the game with the 1.6 update and realised that I couldn't really use it anymore, as Custom Furniture isn't updated. Because of that, I will be dedicating some time to try and get an Alternative Textures version out for you all!

    Other than that, there has been a lot of changes in this update!

    First of all, I was sick of looking at that blurry header image at the top. When I first made it, I used the wrong aspect ratio and just... dealt with it.
    No more, I say! Enjoy the updated, sparkly and very in focus image. Keen eyes will spot the flags selected on there actually spell out the LGBTQIA acronym!

    Is this mod compatible with SVE?

    Probably

    The mod isn’t working! What do I do?

    First - ensure your mods are up to date. Not just my mods - all of your mods. I mean it. Update them. 

    Second - if unsure, delete the old version of the mod and go download a fresh version and install. Do NOT overwrite. 

    Still not working?

    Go to log.smapi.io and follow the instructions there to get your game log. Please look at your log first before submitting a bug report, as it has useful info and can often tell you how to solve the problem yourself! 

    Example: mod isn’t loading because you are missing a required mod. SMAPI logs will tell you this and then you can fix it easily.

    Auto Upgrade
    Supports automatic item upgrading upon pickup, with an optional configuration to deduct money.
    Notice: At least one free slot in the inventory is required for upgrading.
    The categories of items that can be upgraded are now optional, and can be selected according to the English Translation in Categories.

    How do I access the catalogue(s)?
    The Catalogue and Furniture Catalogue are vanilla items which can be normally be purchased from Pierre and Robin, respectively. If they aren't available, you likely have another mod changing how they are obtained.

    Is Android supported / does this work on android?
    Not currently.

    Controller support?
    It's on the roadmap, but right now the menu only sort of works with controllers.

    Are custom catalogues supported?
    All custom catalogues that are registered with Happy Home Designer will work just fine. If you are a mod author looking to add support for your custom catalogue, please read the Information for Modders article for more information. All registered custom catalogues are treated...

  • Information for modders

    Registering a custom catalogue

    By default, Happy Home Designer can't tell the difference between normal shops and catalogue shops. If you want the custom UI to show up for your custom catalogue, you need to tag it. To tag it, simply add a Custom Field to your shop data with the key "HappyHomeDesigner/Catalogue", and any value. If you are using Content Patcher, using a null value will cause the tag to not be applied. Once the shop data is tagged, it should display the custom UI, and any items added to it should also appear in the Collector's Catalogue and its friends.

    When playing multiplayer your farmhands will have to do their files a bit differently:

    they will have to copy and paste there basic .png files that are just inside of their player folder to be just inside of the assets folder as well
    their folders should look something like this

    Is this mod compatible with SVE?

    In theory, yes, as item mods would be compatible with all mods because of unique internal ids, but it has not been tested. I will not be adding items related to SVE items or content and if you’re on one of my map mods it’s most likely incompatible with SVE. You can install NoClip if you’d like to have both my map mods and SVE installed. As such, comments asking this question will be removed. 

    
    Does this mod offer compatibility with x, y, z mod?
    Please check the mod compatibility section of the mod page first. Almost all of my mods have generic rules set up to accept flowers and fruit from other mods, so even if it's not listed specifically, there is a good chance it will work with my artisan mods.
